Install EM Cloud Control 13c Agents

If you don’t know what is the Enterprise Manager Cloud control and how to install it, you can read following article before this.

Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control Architecture and Step by Step Installation Oracle Enterprise Manager ( OEM )

 

You can install Windows Server target as Silent to Cloud Control 13c or you can install Cygwin tool from Cloud control to add Windows target.

Cygwin tool is a third party software that enable SSH feature for Windows environments. When you install and configure this tool, you can perform ssh from linux based servers in Windows server. Because the Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 13c, also called OMS (Oracle Management Server) is installed on Linux in our case, Cygwin must be installed to install Windows targets.

 

 

Download Cygwin

Download Cygwin from this link and install it.

Follow  this link for Cygwin Installation if you don’t know.

Once Cygwin installation is completed, execute C:\cygwin\Cygwin.bat file and configure Cygwin like following.

 

mkpasswd --local > /etc/passwd

mkgroup --local > /etc/group

Run ssh-host-config command and configure it.

 

 

Install Cloud Control 13c Agents

After Cygwin configuration is completed, go to Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 13c and Click Setup—> Add Target —> Add Targets Manually tabs.

 

 

 

Click Install Agent On Host button.

 

In this step Fill the hostname and domain name of the server in the box below and choose  the platform, in this article my environment is Windows 64 bit,  so I chose it.

 

 

Click Next Button.

 

After typing the correct information in this step, click next Deploy Agent button and start agent deployment.

 

 

Agent deployment has been completed properly as above. Click Targets -> Hosts tab, select related host and open the CPU, Memory, File system and Network Utilization.

Now you can monitor Windows Target properly..
