TNS-12546: TNS:permission denied

Hi,

Sometimes You can get ” TNS-12546: TNS:permission denied  ” error.

 

Details of error are as follows.

TNS-12546: TNS:permission denied
Cause: User has insufficient privileges to perform the requested operation.
Action: Acquire necessary privileges and try again.

 

 

This error is related with the incompatible operating system and the Oracle software version, and this error is got when running 32 bit oracle database on 64 bit windows operating system.

 

To solve this error, If you use 32 bit windows operating system, then install Oracle 32 bit database.

Or If you use 64 bit windows operating system, then install Oracle 64 bit database.
