Oracle OSWatcher Kullanımı ve Raporları

Merhaba Arkadaşlar,

Bu yazımda sizlere Oracle ın OSWatcher toolunun kullanımını ve analiz ettiği raporları anlatacağım. OSWatcher toolu, Sunucu kaynaklarının istatistik verilerini belirli aralıklarla toplayıp saklayan ve bize raporlar sunan Carl Davis tarafından yazılmış çok güzel ve faydalı bir tooldur. OSWatcher yazılımını metalink üzerinden ücretsiz indirip kullanabilirsiniz.

 

OSWatcher toolu Sunucu üzerinde top, iostat,vmstat, netstat gibi komutları parametre olarak vereceğiniz belli aralıklarda çalışıp yine parametrik olarak vereceğiniz süre kadar saklayan güzel bir tooldur. Production ortamlarda mutlaka kullanmanızı tavsiye ederim. Tool un kurulum ve kullanımı aşağıdaki gibidir.

1.Adım: OSWatcher toolunun tarlı halini metalinkten indirip aşağıdaki gibi sunucuya atıyoruz.

2.Adım: OSWatcher toolunun dosyasını tar ile açıyoruz.

3.Adım: Tar ile açtığımız dosyanın içeriğine bakıyoruz bir sürü toola ait dosya ve sh scriptleri mevcut.

4.Adım: OSWatcher toolunu aşağıdaki gibi startOSWbb.sh shell scriptini çalıştırarak başlatıyoruz. startOSWbb.sh scriptinin çalıştırılma şekli aşağıdaki gibidir.

startOSW.sh <güncellenme_aralığı> <arşivlenecek zaman aralığı>

örneğin komutu sh startOSWbb.sh 30 720 şeklinde çalıştırırsak OSWatcher 30 saniye aralıklarla tetiklenip çalışacak ve tuttuğu verileri 720 saat yani 30 gün saklayacaktır.

 

Ben default olarak aşağıdaki gibi başlatıyorum.

5.Adım: Belli bir zaman sonra durdurmak isterseniz aşağıdaki shell script ile durdurabilirsiniz.

6.Adım: Şuana kadar topladığınız verileri OSWatcher black box analyzer toolu ile aşağıdaki gibi görsel olarak inceleyebiliriz.
