ORA-01136: specified size of file is less than original size of blocks | ORA-01110: data file

I got “ORA-01136: specified size of file is less than original size of blocks | ORA-01110: data file ” error in Oracle database.

ORA-01136: specified size of file is less than original size of blocks | ORA-01110: data 

Details of error are as follows.

SQL> alter system set standby_file_management='MANUAL' scope=both;

System altered.

SQL> alter database create datafile '/u01/app/oracle/product/19.0.0/dbhome_1/dbs/UNNAMED13561' as '+DATA';
alter database create datafile '/u01/app/oracle/product/19.0.0/dbhome_1/dbs/UNNAMED13561' as '+DATA'
*
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01136: specified size of file 13561 (6400 blocks) is less than original size of 655360 blocks
ORA-01110: data file 13561: '+DATA'

SQL>

To solve this error, You need to use the size of the datafile in the create command as follows.

SQL> alter database create datafile '/u01/app/oracle/product/19.0.0/dbhome_1/dbs/UNNAMED13561' as '+DATA' SIZE 2G;

Database altered.
