Details of error are as follows.
RMAN-03008: error while performing automatic resync of recovery catalogCause: This message should be accompanied by other error message(s) indicating the cause of the error.
Action: Check the accompanying errors.
RMAN> register database; starting full resync of recovery catalog full resync complete database registered in recovery catalog RMAN-00571: =========================================================== RMAN-00569: =============== ERROR MESSAGE STACK FOLLOWS =============== RMAN-00571: =========================================================== RMAN-03008: error while performing automatic resync of recovery catalog RMAN-20020: database incarnation not set
When you connect to RMAN Catalog database and You can get the following error during the register database,
rman connect catalog user/pwd@CATALOG_DB connect target / RMAN> register database; starting full resync of recovery catalog full resync complete database registered in recovery catalog RMAN-00571: =========================================================== RMAN-00569: =============== ERROR MESSAGE STACK FOLLOWS =============== RMAN-00571: =========================================================== RMAN-03008: error while performing automatic resync of recovery catalog RMAN-20020: database incarnation not set
To solve this error, connect catalog database and run the unregister and register database again.
connect catalog user/pwd@CATALOG_DB connect target / RMAN> unregister database; RMAN> register database;
