Sometimes You can get “TNS-01080: Listener failed to start. See the error message(s) above… ” error.
Details of error are as follows.
TNS-01080: Listener failed to start. See the error message(s) above...
Cause: Listener starting message.
Action: None
To solve this error, remove all socket files ( s#* ) under /var/tmp/.oracle and then try to start listener again.
rm -rf /var/tmp/.oracle/s* [oracle@msdbadm01 ~]$ rm -rf /var/tmp/.oracle/s*
[oracle@msdbadm01 ~]$ lsnrctl start LISTENER
