Hi,
When you start Goldengate extract process, you can get the ” ERROR: sending message to MANAGER (Timeout waiting for message) ” error.
Details of error are as follows.
GGSCI (MehmetSalih01) 2> start EXMSD Sending START request to MANAGER ... ERROR: sending message to MANAGER (Timeout waiting for message).
Extract is never started from ggsci, because of this error.
This error is related with Goldengate bug.
If you cannot start Goldengate process via ggsci, then you can start it on Operating system as follows.
./extract paramfile ./dirprm/EXMSD.prm reportfile ./dirrpt/EXMSD.rpt
When you start it on Operating system, you can see that process is running anymore.
[MSD1]/ggate/GoldenGate12_2 $ ./extract paramfile ./dirprm/EXMSD.prm reportfile ./dirrpt/EXMSD.rpt
When your process is taken like this error, and if you started it like this way, then You should wait for goldengate apply about 30-60 minutes.
