SP2-0606: Cannot create SPOOL file

I got ” SP2-0606: Cannot create SPOOL file”  error in Oracle database.

Details of error are as follows.

SP2-0606 Cannot create file file_name

Cause: The STORE command was unable to create the specified file. 
There may be insufficient disk space, too many open files, or read-only protection on the output directory.

Action: Check that there is sufficient disk space and that the protection on the directory allows file creation.

On Windows, spooling SQL*Plus output to a file in the root folder results in a SP2-0606 error

Modern Windows do not allow files to be created in some folders (e.g. the root folder) by default.
Be sure to specify a folder where permissions allow a file to be created.
Check and allow write permissions for authenticated users  on Operating system.
