Oracle ORA-19809: limit exceeded for recovery files

Hi,

You can get ORA-19809: limit exceeded for recovery files error during the rman operations or database startup.

This problem is related with db_recovery_file_dest and db_recovery_file_dest_size parameter. To solve this problem you can change db_recovery_file_dest parameter with blank like following.

SQL> ALTER SYSTEM SET db_recovery_file_dest = '' SCOPE=BOTH;

Or you can increase db_recovery_file_dest_size parameter to solve this problem like following.

SQL> ALTER SYSTEM SET DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST_SIZE=200G SCOPE=SPILE;
