I got ” ORA-32593: database supplemental logging attributes in flux ” error in Oracle database during add supplemental log on Oracle database.

Details of error are as follows.

SQL> ALTER DATABASE ADD SUPPLEMENTAL LOG DATA;
ALTER DATABASE ADD SUPPLEMENTAL LOG DATA

Database supplemental logging attributes in flux

This ORA-32593 error is related with the lots of active transactions or blocking session.

To solve this error, shutdown database if it is possible and add supplemental log.

STARTUP MOUNT
ALTER DATABASE ADD SUPPLEMENTAL LOG DATA;
ALTER DATABASE OPEN;

Or Find the blocking session and kill it. You can use the following post to get the related Blocking session and lock scripts.

ALTER SYSTEM KILL SESSION '1453,2463,@1';
