ORA-12842: Cursor invalidated during parallel execution on Exadata

Hi,

I got ORA-12842: Cursor invalidated during parallel execution error during parallel execution on Exadata.

To solve this problem, use the “_fix_control” hidden parameter.

The syntax for using _FIX_CONTROL is:

To enable:

"_fix_control"='Bugno:ON'    (OR)   "_fix_control"="Bugno:1"

To disable:

"_fix_control"='Bugno:OFF'  (OR)   "_fix_control"="Bugno:0"

In this case, we encounter the 7170213 bug. So I will disable it for the related session as follows.

ALTER SESSION SET "_FIX_CONTROL"='7170213:OFF';

When i use this parameter, our problem has been solved.

You can set it for the database as follows.

ALTER SYSTEM SET "_FIX_CONTROL"='7170213:OFF' scope=spfile sid='*';
