ORA-08103: object no longer exists and ORA-12801: error signaled in parallel query server During Parallel Execution on Exadata

Hi,

When I run the SQL as parallel execution using Parallel hint, I got ” ORA-08103: object no longer exists ” error.

Details of error are as follows.

SQL> SELECT REPORT_DAY,count(*) FROM MEHMET.DEVECI
2 GROUP BY REPORT_DAY;
SELECT REPORT_DAY,count(*) FROM MEHMET.DEVECI
*
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-12801: error signaled in parallel query server P00B, instance
msddb01.msd.local:MSD1 (1)
ORA-08103: object no longer exists

This error is related with Partitioned table and Parallel execution on Cluster Nodes.

To solve this problem, You can run the same SQL as follows.

set the following trace events, then run the same SQL as follows.

alter session set events '10384 trace name context forever , level 16384';

SQL> alter session set events '10384 trace name context forever , level 16384';

Session altered.

SQL> ALTER SESSION SET PARALLEL_FORCE_LOCAL=TRUE;

Session altered.

SQL>
SQL> SELECT /*+ PARALLEL(16) */ REPORT_DAY,count(*) FROM MEHMET.DEVECI
2 GROUP BY REPORT_DAY;
