Oracle Business Intelligence Discoverer 11.1.1.7 installation and integration with Oracle EBS 12.2.6 -1

Hi,

I will tell Oracle Discoverer 11.1.1.7 installation and integration with Oracle EBS 12.2.6 in this post.

Oracle BI Discoverer is a key component of Oracle Fusion Middleware product and a business intelligence tool for analyzing and reporting data.

Oracle Discoverer is a integrated business intelligence solution of Oracle that consist reporting, analysis, intuitive ad-hoc query and Web-publishing functionality.

Oracle BI discoverer installation file are in the Oracle support, you can use Doc ID 2066882.1 support note. You should download all discoverer files.

Before Oracle discoverer installation you need to install related jdk ( java development kit ) like following.

Create appldisco user like following.

Firstly we need to install Repository creation utility like following.

Choose Create option to create repository creation on Oracle EBS database.

You should type Oracle EBS database information in this step like following.

Click OK button to continue.

Type new name for Create new prefix choice for new deployment.

Choose only Discoverer, you can also choose another component if you will use.

Type new prefix name like following.

Type all schemas passwords that are appeared below. Don’t forget these passwords you will use next section.

Click Ok button to create new tablespaces for Discoverer.

Click OK button to continue.

Before next step you should execute following grants on Oracle EBS database.

grant execute on DBMS_ADVISOR to public;

grant execute on DBMS_CRYPTO to public;

grant execute on DBMS_JAVA to public;

grant execute on DBMS_JAVA_TEST to public;

grant execute on DBMS_JOB to public;

grant execute on DBMS_LDAP to public;

grant execute on DBMS_LOB to public;

grant execute on DBMS_OBFUSCATION_TOOLKIT to public;

grant execute on DBMS_RANDOM to public;

grant execute on DBMS_SCHEDULER to public;

grant execute on DBMS_SQL to public;

grant execute on DBMS_XMLGEN to public;

grant execute on DBMS_XMLQUERY to public;

grant execute on UTL_FILE to public;

grant execute on UTL_INADDR to public;

grant execute on UTL_TCP to public;

grant execute on UTL_SMTP to public;

grant execute on UTL_DBWS to public;

grant execute on UTL_HTTP to public;

grant execute on HTTPURITYPE to public;

Click Create button to complete Repository creation utility installation.

Repository creation utility Installation is complete
